The Principal of German Australian Law Solutions, Gisela Weislehner, founded the Australian firm in 2009. Gisela is admitted to practice both in Australia (since 2006) and in Germany (since 1989). Gisela has over 20 years experience in a wide variety of legal work. Prior to migrating to Australia in 2002 Gisela conducted her own legal practice in Duesseldorf (the capital of North-Rhine Westfalia in Germany) for over10 years.  

Since 2002 Gisela's work focus is on all areas of Private International Law (Conflict of Laws) involving German and Australian substantive and procedural law.  

Gisela has been admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and registered at the Hight Court of Australia in Canberra in 2006 and has been practising as a solicitor in Sydney since. In October2011 Gisela has been appointed as a Public Notary.

Gisela is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, The Society of Notaries of New South Wales Inc., the Law Council of Australia (Family Law Section)  and of the Rechtsanwaltskammer Duesseldorf.
